NDIS Plan Management

As an NDIS participant, you have the flexibility to choose how you manage the funding for the supports outlined in your plan. During your NDIS planning meeting, the following three options for managing NDIS funds will be discussed with you:

1. Agency Managed

With this option, the NDIS directly pays your support/service providers on your behalf. The NDIS manages the financial aspects of your plan and handles payments to your providers.

2. Plan Management Agency (PMA)

If you choose this option, the NDIS will allocate funds for a nominated Plan Management Agency in your plan. The Plan Management Agency will then take care of paying your support/service providers on your behalf. They will manage the financial transactions and handle the paperwork related to your plan.

3. Self-Managed

With the self-managed option, you or your nominated plan nominee take on the responsibility of managing your NDIS funding. This includes tasks such as claiming funds and making payments to your support/service providers. You will have access to the NDIS online portal, which allows you to handle the financial aspects of your plan independently.

You have the freedom to select one of these options or even combine them based on your preferences and needs. It’s important to discuss these options during your NDIS planning meeting to ensure that the chosen management method aligns with your requirements and goals.

If you choose the Agency Managed option for your NDIS budgets, there is a limitation in that you can only use registered providers. However, if you prefer the flexibility to use non-registered providers or a combination of both registered and non-registered providers, you can request the inclusion of a budget for Plan Management Agency (PMA) in your NDIS plan. This allows you to maximize your choice and control over your supports.

By opting for plan management with a PMA, you can access the expertise of our experienced team. Our PMA team has a strong knowledge base in the disability, business, and finance sectors. We will handle the financial tasks associated with plan management, working closely with you to ensure that you make the most of your plan. Our goal is to support you in exercising your choice and control effectively and without any hassles.

It’s important to note that if a budget for PMA is not initially included in your plan, you still have the option to change your plan management options at a later date or during your next review meeting. This allows you the flexibility to adapt and make decisions based on your evolving needs and preferences.

  • Making payment to your providers
  • Tracking of your NDIS funding
  • Providing a monthly statement of your funding
